### Why we ship it

The OLR is what we install when the site won’t forgive a failure. IP54 survives the weather you actually see on a yard — wind-driven rain, snow, salt spray — and the -40 °C bottom of the operating range means it survives a bad winter without heaters.

The CC2640R2F has a BLE long-range mode that’s particularly well-suited to open-air RF. In practice this gets us a reliable 200–250 m in a steel-dense yard and close to the full 300 m in open farmland. Pairs well with overlapping coverage so one hub’s failure doesn’t take down a zone.

### Plug and play, mostly

The firmware ships pre-keyed for your tenant. You apply power, the hub registers itself, and Fleet sees it within about a minute. If you need WiFi backhaul, it can hop across a list of approved SSIDs — useful when a yard has a patchwork of site networks from different contractors.
