## Why we ship it

The G1 is the hub we reach for first on indoor deployments where reliability beats novelty. BLE 5 gives us enough range that a single G1 usually covers a full warehouse bay without additional gear, and the built-in WiFi AP solves a problem that’s otherwise annoying — getting the hub onto the network when IT won’t pull a new Ethernet drop.

Because the nRF52832 supports bi-directional BLE, the G1 can push configuration and firmware updates back to the end devices it sees. That means the tags you deploy in the field aren’t one-way beacons — you can calibrate, reprovision, or retire them without touching the hardware physically.

## In production

Indoor warehouse deployments sit behind a G1 per zone, with ceiling mounts and PoE backhaul. At that density, the 300 m BLE range gives enough overlap that a single hub failing doesn’t leave a dead spot. Fleet’s hub-health view surfaces any G1 that stops reporting within about two minutes.
